We are committed equally to research, education and service with a united goal of creating informed, empowered and healthy populations, prevent diseases and work towards health equity, and sustainable transformation throughout the world. Teaching, research and community engagement are pillars at our school. Our teaching, research and service extend to a wide range of settings and content areas consistent with the evolving disciplines of public health. Our approach to teaching is hands-on to ensure the acquisition of competencies that are relevant to the market and to deliver services to the communities, and our students are at the heart of our activities. We expose our students to real-life challenges to stimulate their creativity, problem analysis, and problem-solving capabilities. Moreover, we cultivate this practice in our students through mentorship and opportunities for service learning. Consequently, this multi-disciplinary school produces skilled public health practitioners appropriately trained to address the range of public health needs and challenges locally and in Global settings.
