About This Course
The purpose of the programme is to prepare a beginning nurse who possesses professional knowledge and nursing competencies in the field of nursing, to provide care to clients, families and communities. The programme aims to prepare a life-long learner with cognitive, affective, psychomotor skills and leadership abilities to be able to provide nursing care. The graduates will have the capacity to analyse, apply and interpret data in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to promote, maintain, and restore the health of individuals, groups, families, and communities across the life span in a variety of settings. Professional nurses should be able to appreciate and utilize research findings in the provision of care to the various groups.
