Boitekanelo College was founded in 2007 to meet the urgent need for Health Care Assistants (HCA) during the height of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Since then, we have developed a wide array of healthcare programs to produce highly sought after graduates, who play a crucial role in delivering quality healthcare outcomes. Our values of vision, innovation, courage, and compassion have guided us in widening our impact on the healthcare industry, locally and beyond.

Milestones

2007

Registered as Boitekanelo Training Institute Offered one (1) programme : Certificate in Healthcare Assistance (HCA) Employed three (3) admin staff and three (3) academic staff Registered as Boitekanelo Training Institute.
2008

New programme introduced – Certificate in Phlebotomy Academic staff number increased to six (6) Enrolled 150 students Accredited by Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA).
2009

Five (5) more certificate programme introduced Relocated to bigger premises at Kopanyo House Employed over forty (40) members of staff.
2010

Registered with the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) Affiliation with Parkway College of Singapore Construction of Mogoditshane Campus Student enrolment up to 500.
2011

Changed name to Boitelanelo College Offered five (5) diploma programme Operated from two (2) campuse Enrolled over 1000 students per semester.
2012

Construction of the main campus in Tlokweng Enroled over 1200 students Staff complement over 120 EAffiliation to Cape Penninsula University of Technology, RSA.
2013

Offered degree programme and higher national diplomas First graduation ceremony held.
2014

Relocated to Tlokweng main campus Accredited by COHSASA Held the first Emergency Medicine Conference Affiliation to University of Free State, RSA More degree programme introduced Construction of Phase 3 building in Tlokweng.
2015

Enrolled over 2000 students 2nd conference held (GHC) 3rd graduation held.
2016

Completion of Phase 3 building Mogoditshane campus relocates to Tlokweng BC & IDM signs MOA for the development of academic cooperation in Emergency Medicine.
